Dunkurque - 1
Bordeaux Dunkurque - 1 La Palice Dunkurque - 2 St. Nazaire

This bunker covers the two doors at the North-side of the lock. It doesn't protect the entire lock (as do the ones in St.Nazaire and La Pallice), but only the doors. The bunker is 90m long, 60m wide and about 12m high. On the roof there were two or three light A.A.-emplcements were. The building of the bunker was presumably started by the Frence and finished by the Germans. Th A.A- emplacements are demolished, there is however still an observationbunker present. The lock is still in full use anno 1999.
